Mark the dates the 25th, 26th and 27th of January 2022 in your diaries, as Tamebay Live is returning for three days of masterclasses. We’re excited to start announcing the marketplaces at Tamebay Live that you’ll hear from will include Fruugo, EnableAll and Alibaba.

Split into two streams, the first designed for merchants and a second stream designed for big name retailers and brands, the Tamebay Masterclasses & Workshops will bring you the detail and insights used by top sellers, retailers and brands to win on marketplaces. We’ll also be looking beyond marketplaces at new selling venues such as Social Media and Messaging platforms. Transactions now take place Facebook, Pinterest, WhatsApp and Instagram so our masterclasses will look at how you can get started selling on these venues.

This isn’t a marketplace purely for those with impairments however, it’s designed to be accessible for everyone so join this session to be one of the merchants live when the marketplace launches.

Alibaba

Join Zarina Kanji, Alibaba Group Business Development UK & Nordics for a deep dive into livestreaming in general and a brief history of the platform. There will be a focus on Alibaba-specifics and how livestreaming accelerated due to the pandemic – now brand critical to launching in China. Mass-streaming and VIP-streams (exclusive to restricted numbers of clients) are increasingly common and are set to shape the future hybrid world of retail.

Then David Lloyd, Alibaba General Manager UK, Nordics & Netherlands will be sharing reflections on 11.11 Global Shopping Festival and how UK brands performed during the Festival in terms of first-time launch in China. You can expect learnings from brands who have been present in China market for a greater amount of time and key takeaways for those businesses that will look to export to China, based on key findings from this year’s 11.11 Festival.
