According to reports, AliExpress have teamed up with Cainiao, Alibaba’s logistics arm to provide more delivery solutions ahead of their 11.11 global shopping event.

The solutions which include domestic selection warehouses, automated sorting centers, overseas warehouses, increased weekly chartered flights, as well as last mile self-pickup network will speed up the dispatch time needed for shipments from China to overseas customers. This is only a part of the planned expansions the company hope to make to enhance their global and local logistic capabilities within their key markets.

“Shoppers worldwide have come to expect efficient delivery. Through our ongoing innovations and strategic partnership with Cainiao, we have enhanced our cross-border e-commerce ecosystem. We can now help our sellers deliver popular products within an incredibly efficient delivery time to Europe and Latin America. As we implement this enhanced supply chain network ahead of the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival, we are thrilled to be delivering goods faster and more reliably with no additional cost for our valued customers.”
– Wang Mingqiang, general manager of AliExpress

Over the year, AliExpress has seen an increase in the number of packages received and delivered through their logistics partners, their partnership with Cainiao is a response to the rising demands and means sellers can offer 10 working days delivery for selected cross border orders in Spain and France, 12 working days for Brazil and five working days for South Korea. There are plans to continue this rollout into more European markets.

AliExpress will also be introducing an “On-time Guarantee” in Spain and France ready for the 11.11 Global Shopping Festival. This guarantee will be available to any orders shipped from China domestic selection warehouses, as well as Cainiao overseas warehouses and the company will reimburse $1 USD coupon per order in case of late arrival of the packages.
