Huboo Spain warehouse to be operational in October
Huboo have launched into Spain with the upcoming opening of the first 4,200m2 Huboo Spain warehouse in Madrid due in October, which will create more than 100 jobs for the region.
Founded in 2017 in Bristol, UK, Huboo already has expansion plans in Europe and the US, recently opening of the first Huboo Netherlands warehouse and the upcoming opening of this new Huboo Spain warehouse. If you are looking for a post-Brexit partner to hold some of your stock in the EU for shipment to EU customers, talk to Huboo and see if they are a good fit for your business.
Huboo combines innovative and intuitive technology with a pan-European logistics network led by highly skilled and customer-focused warehouse teams. Their software integrates with all major sales channels with the aim of enabling ecommerce companies to manage their entire inventory from a single tool, giving them access to a smarter, more productive and people-managed warehouse. Within it, Huboo houses its teams in self-contained “micro-centres” that replicate the inputs, processes and outputs that occur in traditional, larger warehouses, but in a much more controlled space. The entire distribution process is managed by Huboo’s management software.
Huboo’s fulfilment solution offers all kinds of warehousing and logistics services for small and medium-sized businesses, from transaction management, stock and quality control, order tracking and billing information to integration with popular marketplaces and sales channels, such as Amazon, eBay and Shopify. This allows you to directly receive and process orders from retailers in real time and manage and update inventory automatically. This working system makes Huboo an ideal choice for small retailers and individual businesses that can’t afford their own warehouse and the staff to manage it, freeing them from logistical burdens to focus on customer service and sales efforts and improving their competitiveness in the face of shoppers who are increasingly demanding the process of shipping and receiving their purchases and who demand consistency and reliability, particularly when it comes to subscriptions. They want to know where their order is at all times and exactly when it will be delivered, while increasingly showing greater concern in terms of sustainability for the brand and items they buy and the packaging used.
Huboo Spain is the second country in Huboo’s European expansion plans following its launch in Eindhoven, the Netherlands, at the beginning of June this year. For its arrival in the Spanish capital, the fulfilment services company has appointed a specialised team to manage the new Huboo Spain warehouse, and expect to be operational in October. This space will be located in Vicálvaro, will have 4,200 square meters to meet the needs of customers and will allow the creation of more than 100 jobs next year. With this new opening, Huboo now has more than 16,000 square meters in total storage space.
The Spanish warehouse is the latest addition to Huboo’s portfolio, following an rapid period of growth in the business. The company has grown from two employees, 60 customers and £20,000 in monthly recurring revenue to more than 250 employees, more than 1,000 customers and £1.2 million monthly recurring revenue in just four years.
“Spain is one of the most important economies in the European Union, but the eCommerce market is still in its early stages and has great potential for growth. The quality of the infrastructure and the incredible growth experienced by the eCommerce market over the past year, with online retail sales increasing by 20% in 2020, consolidated our decision to establish ourselves in Spain to offer our fulfilment services.
Expanding to other countries in Europe has always been part of our plan, regardless of Brexit. However, with many of our UK customers looking for an EU warehousing and distribution partner, as well as a large untapped local market potential, such as Spain, it made sense to expand into this market. With this expansion we also hope to boost the local economy and bring new employment opportunities to the area.”
– Martin Bysh, co-founder and CEO, Huboo
“From Madrid City Council we would like to welcome Huboo. The establishment of this British company, a benchmark in technological advances applied to distribution, is another step in the consolidation of the city’s logistics hub. In addition to generating employment in Vicálvaro, the arrival of companies like Huboo represents a valuable contribution to the entire metropolitan economy.”
– José Luis Moreno, Director General of Economy, Madrid City Council
