Get ready, Amazon Prime day in India is getting close! On the 26th & 27th of July customers will be looking for the best deals across the platform!

Last year SMBs in India had a record breaking Amazon Prime Day with 153,000 SMBs receiving orders, can they do even better this year? Well, according to Amazon this Prime Day, they will continue to empower small businesses, manufacturers, start-ups and brands, women entrepreneurs, artisans, weavers and local shops in India, helping them to bounce back from the Covid-19 impact.

“We dedicate this Prime Day to lakhs of small businesses and local sellers on Amazon.in. We are humbled by their resilience, and grateful for the opportunity to support their rebound during these hard times, We are also excited to offer our Prime members a unique opportunity to discover joy with two days of best deals and savings, hundreds of new product launches, blockbuster entertainment and more, all from the safety and convenience of their homes,”
– Amit Agarwal, Global SVP & Country Head, Amazon India

The event which starts tomorrow will give Prime members the opportunity to discover deals on unique products from sellers under various programs, such as Local Shops on Amazon, Launchpad, Saheli, and Karigar.

While many sellers are looking to increase sales and launch new products on Prime Day, some like Local Shops seller Subhash says an event like this can help create awareness.

“My brand Pooja ki Potli is on Amazon and sells raw material and accessories to make DIY products. DIY is a category that grew exponentially during the pandemic. Prime Day is not only a huge opportunity for us to sell twice our daily target, but also to create and increase awareness of our brand and its products. Last year on Prime Day the sales for Pooja ki Potli went up to 100 units per day from 10 units a day!”
