eBay pay max £2 Final value fees Promo

By Chris Dawson January 21, 2021 - 10:00 am

As part of their ongoing efforts to continue to support sellers during the ongoing disruption to trade, eBay are launching a new Final value fee promotion for business sellers. When you activate your offer you’ll pay max £2 Final value fees on new listings.

What this means in most categories is that you’ll save money on items valued more than £20. Figuring on 10% fees, the break even point will be £20 items so this is a promotion that you’ll want to list more expensive items in. With up to 100 listings qualifying for the offer, aim to list 100 of your most expensive items immediately after you activate the offer.

To take part, you need to be an eBay UK registered seller and live in the UK, have been invited to take part in the max £2 Final value fees promotion, and have actively opted in via the RSVP link in the email or Seller Hub page. Then, simply create new listings by midnight on the 28th of January and save money on up to 100 listings sold within 30 days of listing.

Listings will qualify for the Promotion on items sold and paid for within 30 days from listing and can be either auction or fixed price format.

How to use pay max £2 Final value fees offer

  1. Activate the offer now before you start listing.
  2. Create new listings until 11.59 pm on 28 January.
  3. You’ll pay a maximum of £2 in Final value fees per transaction on up to 100 new listings sold within 30 days of listing. Savings are automatically applied at checkout.

    Has anyone got this working?

I’ve got the email invite and the banner at the top of Seller Central:

‘Pay max. £2 in Final value fees* on new listings!Pay max. £2 in Final value fees* on new listings!’

Click on the link and I get:

‘Unfortunately, this promotional offer is by invitation only. ‘

It would be good if eBay could focus their time on making European customers aware of the crap thats involved in purchasing from us In the UK now.

Its ridiculous that for every other place in the world eBay does tell you that customs fees etc may be involved but there is nothing at all for Europe.

Would prefer them to sort that than waste time on offers that don’t even work…

Yep working today after the usual eBay rollout of something that does not work.

Surprise surprise there is a issue now with the billing as currently the final value credits are not being billed correctly. Sold items after accepting the offer and only one has gone through correctly, the rest have been charged full final fee credits.

I wrote to ebay to complain that I was charged the full final value fee for an item that I sold that should be part of the promotion. The online chat agent proceeded to refund the difference without any objections and assured me that the issue would not reoccur. Let’s hope eBay has fixed the problem.
