Nation rushes to say ‘Thank you, Postie!’

By Lauren Fruncillo November 17, 2020 - 11:30 am

As part of their #TheMagicOfSmallThings Christmas campaign notonthehighstreet are currently helping the nation say thank you to their Postman or Postwoman who have been working their socks off to help us stay connected during COVID-19.

Small businesses are relying heavily on Posties this year as they continue to provide consumers with letters and parcels during these strange and scary times so why not let notonthehighstreet help you say thank you for all their hard work and efforts with a free gift, they really do deserve it.

Thank you, Postie!

Initially, 5,000 chocolate bars were made by the marketplaces small business Partner Quirky Chocolate but after the nation rushed to get their hands on one and they ran out, another 2,000 were made to continue the magic. You can currently still claim a free gift for your Postie here and if you feel they deserve more than a chocolate bar you can also nominate them for a chance of winning a special prize, too.

Recent research from the marketplace shows just how much we rely on our postal workers with 59% of adults saying they depend on postal workers more than ever and a fifth of the public planning to say thank you with a gift this year. That’s not all, 1.9m people call their Postie a friend, and 1.5m people say their Postie stops them from feeling lonely. So if you’re missing retail therapy, Postie therapy is the next best thing!

“This Christmas, we’re celebrating the magic of small things – the small touches, the small gestures and supporting the nation’s small businesses. But we can’t do this without thanking those who help make these things possible – the nation’s postal superstars.”
