Amazon Prime is now available in Turkey, 2 years after the launch of the Amazon marketplace in the country. For merchants keen on selling through FBA, this could be good news.

What does Amazon Prime offer for Turkey?

For TRY 7.90 per month Amazon Prime members will enjoy same-day delivery with their orders of TRY 50 and above in Istanbul, Bursa and Kocaeli, free next day premium deliveries to Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Bursa, Kocaeli, Antalya, Manisa, Bolu and 10 other core cities, free two-day premium deliveries to Adana, Mersin, Gaziantep, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş, Adıyaman, Şanlıurfa, Diyarbakır and 15 other cities and free standard delivery for the rest of the country. Prime members will also benefit from Prime Video, Prime Gaming, Exclusive Deals and Prime Day.

“Today, Amazon customers in Turkey can join more than 150 million paid members in 19 countries worldwide as they take advantage of all of the benefits included with their Prime membership. We believe customers in Turkey will love the free and fast delivery available to the whole country, including same day delivery to customers in Istanbul, Bursa and Kocaeli. For only TRY 7.90 per month, we believe the combination of free and fast delivery on wide selection, award-winning entertainment, and exclusive savings ensures that Prime offers unique value for Turkish customers.”

Well at least we know now confirmed by Amazon that there are 150 million prime members world wide, which is less than what i thought.

Lets say that in America there are 100 million prime members, that just leaves 50 million international members split between, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, U.K, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Holland, India, Australia, Japan, China and now Turkey. Which is a lot less internationally than expected. I suppose it means that there is a lot of room for growth.

Netflix has 189 million members world wide and Amazon prime has 150 million.

    • Good points! Yes that is less than I thought also. Netflix has seen a huge increase this year due to pandemic, I read that they gained 15% new customers in the first 6 months of this year.
