Australian marketplace Buy Aussie Now launching in august

Buy Aussie Now, new Australian only marketplace for locally made goods made by Aussie-businesses is due to launch next month after it’s successful growth on Instagram in March and capital raise in May.

Founder Mitch Catlin is surprised by how quickly they have grown and over two thousand businesses have registered to sell through the website so far. The marketplace will help Australian innovation and supports homegrown products and businesses from any of the following categories: Home and Living, Apparel and Footwear, Jewelry and Accessories, Beauty and Skin Care, Toy and Education, Food and Beverage, Pets & Gifts.

Marketplaces that focus on localized commerce are beneficial for local economies and give consumers knowledge of where their products are coming from whilst keeping them true to their native values, cultures, and beliefs. Right now small and local businesses need all the attention and support they can get. Buy Aussie Now seem to be focusing in on those businesses and have caught the eye of many australians.

How selling on Buy Aussie Now works:

Sellers must have Australian grown businesses and can list their business for free on the marketplace only paying a transaction fee (up to 8%) plus payment handling and disbursement (3% + $0.30) when items sell.

Sellers can create their own unique shop profile including a maker bio and will be able to join a community of like-minded sellers. Inventory can be managed easily with CSV uploads and plugins to your existing ecommerce site like Shopify. Business support is available and social media integrations are easy.
