eBay 50% off Packlink Shipping Promotion

By Chris Dawson June 22, 2020 - 10:05 am

Whilst this won’t necessarily appeal to volume sellers, there’s a Packlink shipping promotion running on eBay that will definitely appeal to those who use eBay to purchase shipping labels offering up to 50% off.

Sellers who complete a transaction on eBay UK and click the Print Postage button on my eBay and purchase eligible delivery services can access the Packlink shipping promotion savings until midnight on the evening of the 30th of June.

Packlink Shipping Promotion offers

50% off Packlink Drop off & COllection services

Eligible delivery services for 50% Promotion below available on Packlink for purchase via eBay UK will be discounted by 50%. Prices are automatically reflected on Packlink site in the purchase flow and at checkout.

Eligible delivery services for 50% Promotion: All carrier services for delivery within the United Kingdom and available for purchase on Packlink when sellers click on Print Postage on My eBay via eBay UK.

Collections services via UPS and Hermes at the same price as dropoff sites

eBay will match the rates for collections with that of the dropoff services of the same carrier. Prices for eligible delivery services for Collections Promotion are automatically reflected on Packlink site in the purchase flow and at checkout and will also reflect the discount available under the 50% Promotion.

Eligible delivery services for Collections Promotion: Collections from a UK address for delivery services within the UK via UPS and Hermes only.

How to access the Packlink Shipping Promotion

  1. Once your item has sold, select ‘Print Postage Label’ next to your sold item in my eBay. Then choose to visit the Packlink site.
  2. On Packlink site, choose your preferred eligible delivery services (see below).
  3. Print your postage label, attach it to your parcel and drop it off at your nearest drop off point. For collections service, you can have your parcel collected at your preferred address.
  4. All prices on Packlink will automatically reflect the new rate under the 50% Promotion (as defined below) and Collections Promotion (as defined below) in the purchase flow and at checkout.

The promotion is running through to Tuesday of next week (30th of June) so if you’re selling on eBay and want to make use of the services all you have to do is buy your postage through eBay.

Great prices shame about the customer service from Packlink. Awful when it comes to try and claim compensation for anything lost or damaged as they will use every excuse they can think of to deny the claim.
Claim forms only work on certain internet service providers so can’t access the claim form.

It is about time eBay did something for UK sellers, this is a good promotion and I have used it a few times. Thank you eBay / Packlink.

I hope they extend it for another month, or bring it back in the Autumn for xmas purchases / shipments. Considering how busy most couriers are at present due to Covid etc, I am surprised at the timing, it must have been agreed last year etc.

Could not agree with Rob more when it comes to making a claim these guys never pay out. Very excuse under the sun. You can waste hours looking for the claim form only for it to error.

Won’t be long before the FCA is onto them for selling enhanced cover that does not meet the needs of a customer as there a culture of claims repudiation without merit.

Myherms are better to deal with direct than these guys.

It’s good that they are running a promo though. Just as long as you don’t have to claim.

Used to use them for the 1-2 kg parcels as they had the same price as Hermes website but once the promo is over will shift everything onto the Hermes website. Not a great system for getting in touch with but least they get back to you pretty quick and payout for lost or damaged parcels.
Packlink may as well just say no insurance for anything no matter what, least you know not to waste your time.

I’m experiencing the same issues Ben & Rob have described – terrible customer service and looks like a number of claims are getting turned down (when similar claims in the past have been refunded fine with Parcel2Go, for example). After the promo ends, I’ll not be using them again.

Royal mail is much cheaper than Packlink and no refunds for lost items on Packlink and I have had a few missing over the last couple of months
