DHL UK returns service launched with Narvar
There’s a new DHL UK returns service for retailers. Named ‘Just Right Returns’ by DHL, it promises a simple and convenient way for consumers to drop-off and track returns, to drive loyalty and revenue for retailers.
This is a fully integrated offering as the DHL UK returns service offers a platform for retailers who want to make the returns experience seamless for their customers. The service has been built in partnership with Narvar who helped develop a simple returns portal which can be customised and branded by the retailer.
Through the portal consumers can identify their closest and most convenient ServicePoint, select their labelling preference, track their return and sign up for notifications. Return labelling is designed to be as simple as possible, consumers can either use an in-box label provided by the retailer, alternatively they can go online to access a return barcode which can be scanned at the local ServicePoint or download a label for printing at home.
“The returns process is such a critical part of the ecommerce experience. Proactive retailers recognise the importance of making it as simple and convenient as possible for their consumers to increase conversions and engender loyalty. It was with this goal in mind that we created Just Right Returns. Our returns portal, drop off and tracking system are easy to use, customisable and offers consumers peace of mind throughout the returns journey.”

There is no question that the returns process needs to be simplified, but is the DHL UK returns service for you? It will be great if you simply want a single courier solution to drop into your website and it’s great for DHL as it mean all your returns will be carried by them – but what if you want a multi-carrier options? Not everyone lives near to a DHL ServicePoint of which there are 1,200 in the UK – I popped my postcode in and the nearest DHL ServicePoint accepting returns is currently 12.70 miles from home – If I discover it’s a 25 mile round trip to return a parcel I may well decide I don’t want to shop with you again.
Additionally this would be a UK only solution so if you sell cross border then seeking a global returns solution may make more sense.
