eBay for Charity raised record-breaking $112 Million in 2019
eBay for Charity have had a record-breaking year with $112 Million raised by eBay’s buyers and sellers for non-profit organisations in 2019. Last year, more than 19 million items were listed to benefit charities and $214 was raised every minute.
The amount of charities using eBay to help with their fundraising efforts is on the rise and $101 million was raised globally last year by charities selling on eBay, that’s more than 8.5 million listings. 100% of the funds raised through eBay for charity go back to non-profits and eBay have also recently announced that they have raised $1 billion overall.

eBay have reported that electronics are the top category and helped raise more than $16.5m last year.
- Electronics – $16.5m funds raised
- Books, DVD’s and Music (Media) – $14.5 million funds raised
- Fashion – $14 million funds raised
- Collectibles – $12.5 million funds raised
- Tickets, experiences and other (Lifestyle) – $10.5 million funds raised
