By Chris Dawson November 10, 2019 - 5:00 pm

There are now more ways to shop on Amazon than ever before this Black Friday, including AR View, Showroom and Discover for those who love technology and want an innovative shopping experiences. As you’d expect, mobile is a defacto way to shop on Amazon, deals are organised by interests and you can support your favourite charity at no cost to you.

1. AR View / View In Your Room

View in your room lets you view products in your home before you buy them. You can see how products fit and look in your home before you bring them home. Curious whether a chair is the right size for your living room, or whether a coffee table you like will go along with your sofa? Now just pull out your phone to find out.

Required Tech

  • iOS: iPhone 6S and newer, running iOS 11.0 and newer
  • AR functionality on Android requires the AR Core app to be installed. AR Core is only supported on Android 7.0 and newer, and on the following devices

How to use

  1. Open the Amazon app
  2. Tap on the camera icon in the search bar
  3. Scroll to ‘view your room’ and select a product

2. Showroom

Amazon Showroom offers customers the opportunity to virtually stage Amazon furnishings in 3D in a living room setting. Pictured is a standard living room but you can swap and change the wall colours and a choice of different shades of wood or carpet flooring to match your home and then choose a sofa, chair, coffee table, side table, lamp, picture and rug.

3. Discover

Amazon Discover allows customers to browse items and quickly refine the selection based on their personal preferences. Like’ or ‘dislike’ for instant recommendations – the service is heavily weighted towards furniture, home decor, lighting and garden, but also encompasses fashion.

4. Mobile

5. Deals by Interests

Shopping across the whole Amazon site will be even easier with deals organised by the most-shopped-for interests. From TVs, Home Entertainment and Smart Home to Kids Toys, Video Games, Amazon Devices and more – customers can discover deals that they’ll love even faster.

6. Charity

Customers can also support their favourite charitable organisation every time they shop with Amazon, at no cost to them, through AmazonSmile. Customers who shop directly at smile.amazon.co.uk will find the Amazon they know and love, with the added bonus that Amazon will donate a portion of eligible purchases to the charity of their choice. Customers can choose from more than 16,000 charitable organisations around the UK
