eBay Retail Revival Program now recruiting Baton Rouge sellers

The eBay Retail Revival program has officially launched in Baton Rouge in typical Louisiana style. With Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and other local leaders in attendance, eBay CEO Devin Wenig and Steve Wymer, Senior Vice President & Chief Communications Officer and Chair, eBay Foundation visited the city as the year long programme started with the aim of to plugging the small businesses of Baton Rouge into the eBay platform to sell their products to buyers around the world.

The program consists of comprehensive ecommerce business training, one-on-one coaching and marketing support for participants.

Sellers already participating in the program in the three other eBay Retail Revival cities in the US are now shipping to all 50 US states and 151 countries, pointing to the staggering export opportunities eBay enables. Just 1% of small businesses in the US export their products, reaching an average of four foreign markets a year; on eBay, fully 96% of small businesses export each year to an average of 17 foreign markets. In Louisiana, specifically, less than 1% of traditional local businesses export, reaching an average of just three markets, but 94% of Louisiana-based eBay small businesses are exporters, reaching an average 13 markets per year.

eBay will provide Retail Revival participants hands-on assistance with setting up their accounts and stores on eBay.

Training & Education

Through customized training and learning opportunities, participating sellers will get a full eBay education covering listing optimization, inventory management, promotional tactics and much more.


Retail Revival provides opportunities for participants to network with other eBay sellers in Baton Rouge and beyond, both in-person and online, to enable peer-to-peer learning, sharing and support.

Ongoing Support

Retail Revival sellers are supported by a dedicated expert customer service team tasked with getting to know their businesses and charting a unique path to growth through technical assistance and strategic guidance.

Store Subscription

Retail Revival sellers receive a complimentary one-year Premium Store subscription, which offers a number of free listings, shipping supplies and other valuable perks.

Marketing & PR

eBay will highlight and help drive traffic to participating sellers’ eBay stores through a dedicated landing page on eBay will also feature select Retail Revival sellers across its online properties and social media channels and continually seek coverage of the Retail Revival program with local, regional and national press outlets.
