What I’ll be looking forward to at the Payoneer Forum 2019?

No primary category set

This year, for the first time, I will be attending The Payoneer Forum 2019 taking place on the 20th of June at the QEII Centre in London. I’m looking forward to attending the cross-border themed event, focused on providing guidance for merchants aimed to expand beyond their base. Sellers can register here for the free-to-attend event.

Cross-border expansion is vital to a business’s growth. Merchants that do well in their domestic market would often find that the next, natural move is to conquer the overseas territory. However, such a mission can present many challenges. Local customs, cultural differences and language barriers. Country-specific laws and regulations and more. This raises a question. What area should I invest in first to integrate my business into a foreign region? The Payoneer Forum 2019 can answer these questions, giving a piece of mind to merchants. Here is the list of keynotes I’m looking forward to attending to enrich my cross-border expertise:

Beyond payments: optimising your business to expand globally

I will be heading down to a keynote theatre, after catching up on networking and refuelling my caffeine levels, to listen to ‘Beyond payments: optimising your business to expand globally’ talk 10:25. Daniel Mayhew, country manager UK, of Payoneer will be taking the stage to consider how can merchants prepare their businesses to enter a new country.

The gateway to Russia

Russia isn’t a typical country into which merchants often expand their businesses. It’s too unfamiliar and different from the West. However, the largest country in the world by area presents many opportunities. One of these is expanding into Russia can almost feel like ‘conquering’ two or three countries without having to deal with its diversities. The ‘The gateway to Russia’ by Alex Vassiliev, head of international development of Yandex.Market at 11:50 aims to introduce the country as an opportunistic market. I’m particularly interested in attending this talk to discover the necessities needed to trade in Russia.

Top tips for crossborder trade

Barney Willis, the managing director, managed partners of We Are Pentagon will be taking the lead at 14:30 to present the vital tips for cross-border trade. I’m keen to discover the essential approaches that can help merchants plan their cross-border strategies.
