By Sasha Fedorenko April 3, 2019 - 9:00 am

This year, for the second time I’ll be attending Internet Retailing Expo 2019 on the 3rd and 4th of April at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC), Birmingham. I’m excited about attending the industry event which brings together practical advice, hands-on training an networking opportunities to prepare today for the retail of tomorrow. At the event, I will listen and learn from conference tracks featuring themes from marketing, international growth, customer obsession, final mile to new technology, scaling up, omnichannel innovation and operational excellence. Across four individually-themed theatres, I’m interested in learning first-hand from retailers, brands and suppliers in the field who explore challenges and opportunities faced by retail sellers. Here are some of the keynotes I’m excited to attend.

Delivery in the age of Amazon

I’ll be heading down to theatre four to explore a talk ‘delivery in the age of Amazon at 11:40 on 4th of April. I’m interested in finding out what ingredients Michael Weinberg, SVP, Business Development of Bringg has prepared for sellers who wish to obtain a delivery recipe akin to Amazon.

Panel discussion: Futureproofing your international strategy

I’m keen on attending a panel discussion aimed at considering the future of cross-border ecommerce in 2021 at 14:45 in theatre two. My colleague, Chris Dawson, founder and editor of Tamebay will take the lead to chair ‘what will an international eCommerce strategy look like in 2021 and what should you be doing today to prepare?’ panel featuring Chris Lamontagne, CEO of Teespring and Tony Preedy, chief commercial officer of Fruugo.

Tony Preedy, chief commercial officer of Fruugo, will take the stage to present a ‘case study: how to grow your international sales.’ In theatre two at 11:05 will share practical lessons on how to achieve export-led sales growth.

Leveraging marketplaces for international growth

I’m also excited about attending a whole keynote dedicated to ‘leveraging marketplaces for international growth’ at 13:45 in theatre two. Chris Lamontagne, CEO of Teespring will consider how merchants can maximise their ecommerce potential on marketplaces when expanding internationally.
