Royal Mail Christmas Competition for Small Businesses
Royal Mail have launched a Christmas competition for small businesses across the UK. Christmas is a time for giving and during this festive season Royal Mail has four prizes on offer for small businesses.
All UK small businesses are able to enter the competition and there are two ways to get involved, each with the chance to win £1000:
- Share a photo of your festive shop window display with Royal Mail.
- Or, tell Royal Mail about special festive communications you have planned for your customers. This could be anything from direct mail, email, a social media campaign or any unique festive packaging!
There will also be two runners up for each part of the competition, who will both win £500.

How to enter the Royal Mail Small Business Christmas Competition
UK small businesses should send competition entries by one of the following ways:
- By uploading your photo or comment to Twitter or Instagram, including #RoyalMail and #smallbizfestivecompetition as well as your own username. Don’t forget to tag @RoyalMail on Twitter or @RoyalMailOfficial on Instagram
- Via email: email@example.com with the subject line Small Business Festive Competition
- Royal Mail’s contact form: www.royalmail.com/small-business-saturday
- Or direct message Royal Mail’s Facebook account with the hashtags #RoyalMail and #smallbizfestivecompetition
The competition opens at 10.00 on Tuesday, 27th November 2018 and closes at 23.59 on Sunday, 16th December 2018. All winners will be announced no later than the 21st December.

Worrying that someone running a small business might consider a company with the resources of Royal Mail highlighting their small businesses a waste of time….
worrying that someone who gains from Royal mail advertising may not give an impartial opinion

I would be happier if they concentrated on delivering our parcels.
I’m not sure if their marketing dept would have much impact on operations or other areas of their business but well done on sucking the fun out of a christmas competition though. £1000 would really help me out at this time of year

the over 100,000 posties and sorting staff will be unimpeded by it.
you may aswell lament the impact of the £2,000 prize money on their bottom line.

judging by our mail box
royal mail seems to often try gimmicky marketing mail shots and promos
which judging by their loss of market share, seems not to be effective
Another pointless ‘initiative’ from Royal Mail, I’m not going to waste my time for a mere chance of winning £1000. Not worth the effort, now if they ran a competition where they PROMISED to fix to most voted for problem at Royal Mail, then I would take part.
