eBay Click & Collect locations now live via the PayPoint network and Collect+
The expansion of the eBay click & collect service continues beyond its traditional base of Argos and Homebase stores. Now, thanks to a partnership with Collect+ and PayPoint thousands more delivery locations are available. We announced the new development back in the summer, in an article we wrote back in July. You can find the details here. But now that inked deal has come to fruition.
This means that the eBay click & collect service is now available at 2,500 new Collect+ locations, giving eBay sellers and buyers the ability to have purchases delivered to a local PayPoint store via their carrier service of choice. The PayPoint network is popular and used in a number of convenience store chains including Nisa, McColls, Spar and One Stop as well as a ton of independents.
As online shopping continues to boom, bricks and mortar retailers can increasingly feel left out in the cold. However, the savviest are capitalising on the online trend, recognising the opportunity that convenient parcel services represent as a great way of enticing people into store. We are delighted that the eBay click & collect service is now up and running in 2,500 stores in time for the busiest online trading period of the year.

The eBay click & collect network is a genuine value add for merchants. To be eligible your item must weigh less than 15kg. No one side of the parcel can exceed 90cm with max dimensions of 0.324 cubic metres (including packaging). Any items that are too large or exceed the weight limit will be rejected on arrival at the Click & Collect location, and may be disposed of, without reimbursement. And you will need to make sure that the eCP number is visible on the shipping label of your dispatch.
It will be interesting to see whether there will be further expansions in the months to come. Watch this space.
Had 3 Argos deliveries go out this morning, but not had any for a while.
