eBay Delivery Powered by Shutl UPS price increases

By Chris Dawson August 16, 2018 - 10:10 am

eBay have had to increase their rates offered for UPS services when you use the eBay Delivery powered by Shutl service. The new UPS price increases apply from the 14th September and you’ll see them on the eBay Delivery page and when you book deliveries from then.

Prices for all services have risen by 40p which is an especially large increase for lower priced services but still relatively competitive for heavier items when compared to alternative services.

Chris, you might want to go check the actual prices on the Shutl website as the current ones on the ebay release are wrong.
    The current 10 – 15kg price is £6.99
As per usual communication from ebay they struggle to get things right.
Just wish ebay would focus on brilliant basics as opposed to constantly tweaking somethings that aren’t broken – get things like how they communicate right.

    Chris

The prices which you have copied and pasted, are wrong.
The figures which eBay are claiming to be the existing prices, are not the existing prices.
They are about 20% BELOW the existing prices.
The newly announced “increased prices”, are actually less than the existing prices.

Hey Rob and Bas, bit of a cock up but just corrected the prices following an update from eBay

Chris, it is one of many at the minute and why I think a lot of sellers have little trust with ebay. It is back to the days of 3/4 years ago where you dread getting every message as everytime something goes wrong it might cost you money or a defect.

    Thank you, Chris.

It is rather worrying that nobody at eBay or Shutl noticed that the announcement was wrong, or took steps to correct it for several days after sellers had pointed it out to them on the eBay and Shutl forums.

To give a month’s notice of changes, and publish the wrong rates, AND the wrong implementation date, was really quite bad even by eBay’s standards.

‘To give a month’s notice of changes, and publish the wrong rates, AND the wrong implementation date, was really quite bad even by eBay’s standards.’

That IS eBay’s usual standard these days!
