I am looking forward to this tournament, I am sure it will be a great event. I predict that the Ingenico team will cruise to victory thanks to the footballing genius that is Russell Masterton. Some of you might not heard of Russell yet but that’s all about to change, he could have went pro but didn’t want to as he is raking it in from the eCom payments racket.

There are rumours that Lionel Messi has Russell Masterton’s picture at his bedside for inspiration. Masterton is famed for embarrassing his opponents with the Djalminha flick and undoubtedly many more will fall victim to mercurial talent on the 21st.

Watch out eCommerce World Cup – Masterton has arrived. Viva Ingenico!

The Ingenico team will be victorious, resistance is futile. Masterton is the rock star of e-commerce both in the board room and on the football pitch. His skills will eviscerate the opposition, his Djalminha flick will humiliate all unbelievers.

    Hail Masterton!
    Viva Ingenico!

I’m too young to remember when Diego Maradona single handedly dragged Napoli to the Italian title. I’ve heard all about it though.

It’s rare these days, to see a player like that. A player who’s value to his team is immeasurable. A player who gives you at least 9/10 every game. A player who defines an era. An icon.

Step forward Russell Masterton. A diminutive player who pulls the strings for Ingenico. Power, pace and devilish skill are his main attributes. Sound familiar? In fact, he shares some startling similarities to Maradona both on and off the pitch.

He’s already show his worth to his team mates and the Ingenico fans. But now the world is going to see why they cherish him.

Is it time for him to enter “Icon” status? We’ll find out this weekend.

Really excited about this tournament, I am hearing a lot of good things about this Masterton chap. I know Gordon Ferry who works at Cybertill and they have been working very hard on a plan to stop the Ingenico dangerman.

Obviously Ingenico are hot favourites because of Masterton but Smart Parts have a very solid backline and will be ones to watch.

Not sure why everyone is bigging up this Masterton guy. I used to play with him every week. He’s brutal. A ball-greedy little rat. Yeah, yeah, yeah he’ll pull off the odd trick but for every Djalminha he pulls off you have to put up with several failed “mazeys”. His offense is truly offensive. And he’s defensively inept. In fact I used to regularly trick him with my patented “Davey Turn”.

Ingenico will go out in the first round…..and I’m pretty sure I know who’ll be to blame.

      Hi Davie,

Really saddened to hear your remarks regarding young Masterton, he is a precocious talent and I feel, one who will light up the eCommerce World Cup.

I used to deliver his mail and he is a really nice young lad, always helping old ladies across the road and reading to the blind, its stuff like that really make him such well liked. But that aside, he is a top quality footballer, who I am sure will have a real impact on the tournament – he is a real livewire.

I am not sure how you stop a player like that? I know he played against David Batty in a charity match one time and he said of Masterton – “He is a difficult player to play against: if you try to close him down and he just plays one touch passes, straight away – give him too much time and space and he unpicks the lock. There is no way to stop him.”

Really looking forward to this tournament. I’ve stuck a tenner on Masterton to get the Golden Boot.

Mark, im a personal friend of David Batty. I know this story to be nonsense. Masterton has talent….sure….but gets inside his head and he’s done. He’s stinks too.

I live in Singapore now, is there anyway I can stream this event? All the hype about Russell Masterton is exciting.

Hi, my name is John. I have a wife. I’m own my own home. I have a car. I have lived a good life. One thing has been missing though. I always wanted a son….

And now almost 34 years after the birth of Russell Masterton – I finally feel like I have a proper son.

When the little runt was born I would never have dreamt that one day he’d tale part in the eCommerce Cup.round…..and I’m pretty sure I know who’ll be to blame.

    Have your say
This makes up for 34 distinctly average years.

Forget the two grandchildren. This tournament is what fills me with pride more than anything else you’ve done.

I love you little Russy, do daddy proud. Bring the cup home!

My name is John, I have a son.

I saw this guy at the tournament and he wasn’t even very good. Not sure why there are all these comments about him, to be honest.
