PayPal acquires Jetlore AI powered prediction platform

By Chris Dawson May 30, 2018 - 3:58 pm

PayPal have acquired Jetlore, a company founded in 2011 by Ph.D. students from Stanford University’s computer science program with the goal of applying the power of machine learning to the retail market.

Jetlore’s proprietary prediction platform give the ability to deliver personalized customer experiences to increase sales and loyalty. PayPal’s acquisition is to further their goal to give merchants and consumers more personalized commerce experiences.

PayPal Marketing Solutions offer marketing tools designed to help increase your sales. Your PayPal Business account now includes unique shopper insights and customisable incentives from PayPal for your website, at no extra cost. PayPal hope that Jetlore will strengthen the PayPal Marketing Solutions and as ever, the more you sell the more commissions that PayPal makes.

It’s worth noting the eBay is a Jetlore customer, as are some of the world’s top retailers. Jetlore’s AI-powered Prediction Platform takes the guesswork out of rule-driven automation and intuition-based marketing, providing the most optimal decision for each unique consumer.

Jetlore maps consumer behavior into structured predictive attributes using the power of artificial intelligence. Such structured attributes include things like size, color, fit and style preferences, brands, or preferred materials. This structured data allows top tier retailers and large B2C brands to optimize content and communication for the consumers. They can power predictive Layouts for promotional emails and top landing pages and predictive Ranking for product listing pages based on the customer.

“With Jetlore’s talent and AI-powered technology, we will enhance and accelerate PayPal Marketing Solutions, adding new capabilities that continue to expand PayPal’s value proposition for merchants beyond the online checkout experience. We share Jetlore’s passion for creating amazing – and personalized – customer experiences and believe their capabilities will accelerate our ability to help merchants optimize content and communication for their customers.”
