All the Amazon Private Label Brands you’re competing with

By Dan Wilson May 17, 2018 - 9:25 pm

Every Amazon merchant knows that they compete with Amazon itself on the marketplace. Amazon started purely as a retailer itself before successfully bringing third party (3P) sellers into the mix more than a decade ago. It’s believed that something like 50 – 60% of Amazon sales come from 3P sellers. But you might be surprised by the number of Amazon private label brands there are for sale.

These are brands that are registered to Amazon, or subsidiaries and registered assailers on the marketplace. Some are active and significant, other are less well known or dormant. But it’s a significant list. How many are you aware of? The verticals are concentrated in fashion home wares and personal products.

The big question is, of course, the extent to which Amazon private label brands are given preferment in search. And that will remain a mystery.

Some are more obviously Amazon brands than others, there’s nothing sly about their cross-category brand AmazonBasics, which most people will be aware of but there are numerous others. Here’s a compiled list of the various Amazon private label brands that have been reported around the web.
