Parcel2go awarded ‘Top 15 fastest growing technology companies’ At 2018 Northern Tech Awards

By Dan Wilson April 20, 2018 - 11:03 am

The parcel delivery comparison website Parcel2Go has been awarded a ‘Top 15 fastest growing technology companies’ award at the 2018 Northern Tech Awards.

The awards have been running since 2011 in partnership with technology investment bank, GP Bullhound. Together they discover, recognise and celebrate the biggest tech success stories in the north of Britain. Each year they are hosted in a different city, with this year’s being held in Edinburgh, one of Europe’s tech hotspots.

This isn’t the first time the Bolton based company have been honoured with an award at the Northern Tech Awards, last year they were recognised as one of the top 100 fastest growing technology companies and in 2015 they were awarded ‘Most innovative company in the North’.

It’s such an honour to be recognised once again as one of the fastest growing technology companies. The Northern Tech Awards is such a prestigious event, which highlights all the incredible and innovative work coming out of the North, for us it’s all about the next big thing we can do and being a pioneer within the technology world and receiving acknowledgment like this means we are on the right path. We hope to be back again next year as we continue to grow and develop.
– Parcel2Go Managing Director, Adam Harris

The winners were selected by a panel of high-profile judges, from some of the UK’s leading and innovative technology companies. This year new judges including Sherry Coutu CBE, Chair of ‘Founders4Schools’ and Melinda Matthews, chief executive of the Edinburgh-based digital skills academy ‘CodeClan’, joined established judges such as David Rowan, founding editor of Wired UK.

The online parcel comparison site recently launched a new pallet shipping service with Palletways, Europe’s largest pallet delivery network. This service will provide Parcel2Go customers with the ability to send larger consignments on pallets throughout the UK and Europe.
