WooCommerce shipping made simple with Parcelhub integration

WooCommerce claim to power over 28% of all online stores, but the real number may be much higher. Strip out those who have downloaded it and never installed the software, Builtwith reveals that 41% websites using ecommerce technologies use WooCommerce.

The numbers are interesting as WooCommerce is heavily loaded towards smaller retailers – 25% of the top million sites use WooCommerce, 18% of the top 100 and 12% of the top 10k ecommerce sites. What this means is the WooCommerce is highly popular with smaller retailers and there’s probably a simple reason for this – they aim to be the most customizable ecommerce platform for building your online business and it’s a WordPress toolkit and WordPress is one of the most easily accessible platforms for those that want to build their own site from scratch.

Now, to make the shipping side of WooCommerce simple, Parcelhub have developed a direct integration with the platform. Following a high volume of requests for seamless WooCommerce integration, the Parcelhub IT team made full integration a key priority as a way of increasing the reach of their delivery management software.

“As part of an ongoing business strategy, we are working towards integrating with every major eCommerce platform. WooCommerce was chosen at this point due to customer demand. Its easy-to-use API and online documentation meant the Dev team could go from zero to beta in less than one week, with the first general customer release after 2 weeks. Currently we are nearing completion on three projects; new integrations for ChannelAdvisor, Linnworks and Magento.”
– Steve Riley, ParcelHub IT Director

As with other ParcelHub integrations, the aim is to shorten customers’ label production to a few clicks of a mouse, while retaining them full control over every shipment. Additionally, sellers will be able to map shipping methods in WooCommerce, to services within Parcelhub for additional time saving and ease of use.

If you would like to link your WooCommerce store to Parcelhub Web Despatch, it’s quick and simple using the Parcelhub API.

Even though it has lot of customization, developers have developed a lot of useful, effective solutions for almost every aspect of WooCommerce business.

There are a lot of shipping service extensions developed for DHL, FedEx, UPS, USPS and so on. It’s good to see Parcelhub making it’s way! 😀
