DeliverooDeliveroo for Business launches this week aiming to spice up the ‘eat at your desk’ fodder employees consume during their working day. They also of course want to capture the meeting room buffet business and supply the food for the board room platters.

The business service will allow companies to create corporate accounts and created profiles to determine how employees use the app to order food for the office. Features like location locks and time-triggered allowances mean businesses can trust everyone’s got what they need.

Businesses will also get dedicated account managers of which Deliveroo say “Think of them as your personal butler, ready to help with anything from impromptu parties to picking the best eateries“. These account managers will be on tap to help when ordering food for larger events, so if you’re having a conference in the office and want food supplied from multiple eateries then Deliveroo for Business is the service for you.

The days of sending someone down to Pret with a directors credit card may be about to end. Deliveroo for Business is integrated with HR and finance tools so controlling the budget and checking who ordered what and which departments should foot the bill.

Deliveroo are facing increasing competition from the likes of Amazon with their one-hour delivery and Uber who are also opening up food delivery, not to mention the proliferation of apps such as Hungry House and Just Eat. Deliveroo for Business aims to fight back and offer a tailored approach giving businesses an experience integrated with HR and finance that no other food delivery competitor can offer.
