Amazon to launch 24 seller cafes in India
We know that Amazon considers India to be one of the key frontiers in expanding its operations globally. India is an attractive market because it has more than a billion citizens and a burgeoning middle class as well as a keen entrepreneurial culture.
Apparently they’ve signed up 20k new sellers in India over the past few weeks. They’ve also improved their delivery and pick up infrastructure and are keen to get more sellers onboard. They also have 1,400 specialist across 16 cities who are on hand to help merchants start and develop their selling.
Goal Pillai is the Director and GM of Seller Services, Amazon India. And he said: “We are opening 24 ‘seller cafes’ in cities and towns to offer on-ground support to sellers to help them getting ready for the festive season. Sellers can use this to set up a new account for imaging or cataloguing help, or any other issues that they face.”
