Screen Shot 2016-08-22 at 00.25.41Amazon seems willing to try all sorts of ideas in order to maintain its pre-eminent position as the undisputed leaders of ecommerce right now. And, moreover, the Amazon way is absolutely about making sure that Amazon Prime is at the forefront what it does.

So, whilst this does strike us in the first instance of a gimmick, it could also be the shape of things to come.

If you’re in Los Angeles, USA, Amazon Prime customers can log on and get a free test drive of the new Hyundai Elantra.

It’s only for the last two weekends in August but Amazon Prime subscribers living in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas are being offered the chance to order a 45- to 60-minute test drive of a 2017 Hyundai Elantra.

Is there anything Amazon won’t try? Read more here: they call it Prime Now, Drive Now.
