eBay recruit new Vice President for B2C sellers
eBay have announced a new Vice President of Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Selling and global initiative owner for eBay’s seller experience.
Bob Kupbens, previously Vice President of Online Retail at Apple, joins eBay to drive efforts to scale sellers’ businesses, optimize eBay’s B2C platform for merchant success, and help to acquire new sellers.
Hal Lawton, SVP of eBay North America, welcomed Bob saying “We are pleased to welcome Bob to the eBay family. We are focused on providing the most powerful selling platform and Bob’s customer-centric leadership will help us deliver the best possible experiences for our sellers and empower them in growing their businesses”.
In the US there’s no clear distinction between a consumer seller and a business seller. That’s not the case in the EU where professional sellers are registered on eBay as businesses. That should make Bob’s job somewhat easier in the UK and Europe as he’ll easily be able to identify the sellers he’s going to be working with.
We’re certain that you too will be pleased to know that there’s a cheer leader at eBay for B2C sellers as that most likely includes you. If there is one piece of advice you could give Bob in his new role, what would it be?
This is what a scam buyers feedback looks like take action now while you still have some sellers left
Which at first glance seems fine. Pay attention to raw data though, and 100% refunds and claims over a year of active use leaves sellers in little doubt who eBay prioritise and who they’re not so fussed about.
dont cross the road its dangerous with your eyes shut and your ears closed
He looks a bit like that Chris Dawson chap.
“help to acquire new sellers”, very good.
Now here is an idea HOW about actually investing is your current business sellers. Genuine support for small and medium sized sellers. Not just “a load of hot air” then fill ebay with Tescos product range..
How about actually dealing with the main issue eBay actually has which is fraud, abuse of returns , world class shocking and terrible seller support which eBay are world leaders in how about he turns that around.
Wait a minute he worked for APPLE, nothing will change he is a a corporate YES man, he will just try and fleece as many small traders as he can.
I’m currently looking for new flatmates.
I’ve had thousands of previous flatmates, i tell them all how nice i am to them, while stealing their money and setting their possesions on fire.
i keep telling potential flatmates i wont do that, then do it anyway.
it’s reached the point where most people who might have wanted to live with me, suddenly dont want to live with me, because they’ve heard from other previous flatmates.
i’ve sent emails to some of the previous tennents telling them how great a time they had, and that they should come back, and that there will be no theft or arson (there will be theft and arson).
perhaps ebay took a leaf out my book?
