Notonthehighstreet Colour Saturday Events
Timed to coincide with Small Business Saturday, NotOnTheHighStreet launched their first Colour Saturday on 5th December – a day dedicated to celebrating the value creative small businesses bring to customers and their importance in fostering growth and innovation for the UK economy.
Small businesses creating around 60% of private sector jobs and so are crucial to economic growth in the UK. Notonthehighstreet work with over 5,000 creative small businesses and, from Tuesday 1st December to Saturday 5th December, held a series of events in key regions across the UK in celebration of the creativity, craftsmanship and innovation – the colour – that small businesses bring to the nation.
Beginning in Edinburgh’s Grassmarket on 1st December, the NOTHS sleigh traveled across the UK, making a stop in Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens on 2nd December before arriving in London’s Spitalfields Market on Friday 4th December.
At each location, the sleigh joined a bespoke five-metre interactive digital Christmas tree made up of 43 light boxes, showcasing a selection of products and stories from Notonthehighstreet Partners based in the region.
The campaign culminated on 5th December with a surprise ‘colour moment’ across each City, celebrating the value small creative businesses bring to our lives. The celebrations took place with the local communities, Notonthehighstreet Partners, customers and other friends and family of Notonthehighstreet.
