With this new contract, Royal Mail will deliver across the UK and to Waterstones’ growing customer base in Europe and the rest of the world.

Royal Mail specialist IT solutions provider NetDespatch worked closely with Waterstones to provide a streamlined IT systems integration and labelling solution for all orders. Waterstones is the UK’s only nationwide specialist booksellers, present on just about every high street in defiance of the premise that Amazon have closed down the off line book trade. Its successful online business, Waterstones.com, gives customers access to the entire catalogue of books, audio books, as well as a wide range of stationary and gifts.

Physical books are seeing resurgence in their popularity. Sales rose 3% in the first half of 2015 compared to the same period last year, the first increase since 2012, with digital books sales rising two per cent.
