By Chris Dawson September 28, 2015 - 11:07 am

Shopware and CromwellShopware AG, a German manufacturer of e-commerce software, has made a significant step toward its international growth by partnering with Cromwell Business Systems Limited. The British IT specialist joins Shopware’s international network of more than 1,200 partners from Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Poland.

Cromwell has been active in the software industry for more than 20 years. During this time, it has developed a deep understanding of the business and e-commerce challenges that face numerous multichannel companies. They are responsible for the development of multichannel solutions for over 40 businesses throughout the UK and Ireland, and are specialists in the rent-to-buy sector.

With Cromwell we have gained a very strong partner from Great Britain, a partner that promotes our strategic objective of establishing Shopware even further in the international market,” says Shopware CEO Stefan Heyne about the new partnership.

First joint business strategies have already been agreed upon. Between now and the end of 2016, Cromwell and Shopware will be migrating and relaunching more than 20 existing Cromwell customers to Shopware technologies. Among these businesses is Richer Sounds, one of the leading retailers of consumer electronics with more than 50 shops throughout the UK.

Mark Howes, Director of Business Development at Cromwell says, “After extensive Europe-wide research into e-commerce software providers, we decided that Shopware offered the most impressive solution. Our partnership will enable us to provide our customers with highly flexible, powerful e-commerce software that is totally customisable to their multichannel business needs. We are very excited by the opportunities this provides us to support our existing customers and also to expand our business into new sectors”.

If you’re interested in Shopware as a solution, they have a free Community Edition and then their Professional Edition is €1,295.00 (one time fee), Professional Plus comes in at €5,995.00. There’s also a Diamond Edition with pricing on request.
