Amazon fresh coming to the UK

There are reports that Amazon Fresh is coming to the UK. Amazon Fresh is a service that delivers groceries to your door on a same-day or next day basis.

It’s been available in parts of the US for some time including parts of north and south California, Seattle, New York, Philadelphia and parts of northern New Jersey close to New York City.

There’s no indication of where in the UK this might launch but London seems like an obvious start or another city.

An Amazon spokesperson said that they do: “not comment on speculation and rumour but what I can tell you is that we will remain thoughtful and methodical in our approach to expanding Amazon Fresh.”

The UK has a very competitive and well-developed groceries market and it will be interesting to see how they will fit into the already crowded space.

Would you buy your groceries from Amazon?
