Dont forget Preloved when rehoming a pet

Preloved AnimalsDeciding to rehome your pet can be a heart wrenching decision. When it comes to finding the forever home your pet deserves, vetting a new owner and their home can be a daunting task. With over 100,000 members responding to pet adverts every month, Preloved aim to make finding your pet a loving home in your local area that bit easier.

The UK’s rehoming charities do fantastic work to ensure that all their animals find loving homes as soon as possible. However, with an increasing number of pets unable to stay in their current home, Preloved hope that their listings help to reduce the pressure that these hard working pet shelters experience each day.

Tamebay Cat StripesTamebay’s cat came from a cats shelter, Stripes as he’s known (the marks he leaves from biting and scratching) is more than a little demented and even after six years he’s still not full socialised – a hang over from spending nine months in a caged pen in the cat’s home.

Whilst animal shelters do a fantastic job, it’s much kinder to your pet if they can go straight to their new home with the attention they deserve which is why Preloved are so passionate about animals and helping them find new homes.

Alongside supporting animal charities in any way possible, Preloved’s mission is to keep everyone involved in the pet rehoming process as happy and safe as possible. Every single one of our animal adverts is checked by them, but if users are ever concerned about a pet advert, their committed team will ensure that all measures are taken to investigate and remove the listing from site. This doesn’t happen often, but when it does you can be rest assured that there is a zero tolerance policy outlined in the Preloved Pet Pledge. Preloved also work hard to ensure their members have access to detailed welfare information so that every animal can find their forever home.

Most popular pets

The tenacious Chihuahua is by far the most popular dog breed on Preloved, with lovable Pugs and cheeky Jack Russells coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively. However, with over 12,000 dogs of all different breeds looking for homes, finding the perfect pooch for you and your family couldn’t be simpler. Or if it’s a feline friend you are after, there are over 1,000 cats looking for their perfect family, including beautiful Bengal breeds, home-loving British Shorthairs and gentle Ragdoll cats.

There are over 30,000 pets waiting to find their forever home at any given time on Preloved, so if you are looking to give a pet a loving forever home don’t forget to check Preloved.

If you are from a charity or organisation that has the livelihood and happiness of animals at the heart of what you do, then Preloved would welcome you connecting to see how you can work together to help more pets find their forever home.
