Introducing plentymarkets to the UK
At Tamebay we’ve known plentymarkets as a market leading multichannel management in Germany. As you’d expect from a Germany company, they’re experts both in the number of German marketplaces that they support and also on the trading rules specific to Germany.
Now they’ve set up operations in the UK we asked Carsten Brassel to tell us more about their solution:
Hi, My name is Carsten and I am the Country Manager for plentymarkets in the UK. I’ve been working in e-commerce for more than 5 years now and I relocated to the UK for plentymarkets in January 2014. We took our time fine-tuning the software for the UK market and it is now ready for UK customers who want to manage their businesses locally or start selling abroad.
plentymarkets is an all-in-one e-commerce solution “made in Germany”. plentymarkets began as a customized eBay solution for a few retailers in 2001 and continued growing quickly since then, adding more and more features. The software combines a comprehensive stock management system with a versatile shop system and effortless multichannel sales. Thanks to comprehensive functions and interfaces that include all steps of the e-commerce value chain, you can use the cloud based software to completely automate all of your e-business processes as well as your company’s own individual processes.
Since the software is made in Germany, plentymarkets has good insight into the German market, the second largest e-commerce market in Europe. The software contains interfaces to more German markets than many UK sellers have ever even heard of. 3,500 customers are already using plentymarkets to sell their products in 4,000 online stores in Germany and around the world. We have learned a lot about German and international marketplaces over the years and have learned which products work best on them.
We also have a comprehensive network of German partners. Not only do we connect you to major marketplaces, but also to payment & logistics service providers as well as to affiliate marketing providers, legal services and store marketing providers. These service providers are connected to plentymarkets without any additional costs and help you immediately take off in e-commerce. Our expertise makes it a piece of cake for you to take your business abroad.
Of course, it is easier to sell your goods in Germany and other countries if your business is running smoothly at home in the UK. plentymarkets helps you manage all of your online business processes with ease, giving you back the time you need to source additional products or make plans to expand your business. From setting up your items to processing orders, managing payments and fulfilment, all of the processes are efficiently linked together so that you can fulfil orders quickly and provide your customers with a high level of service.
Our warehousing management system includes invoicing, labelling, CRM and marketing tools. Let plentymarkets carry out daily tasks such as controlling incoming payments and sending e-mails that include invoices or package tracking URLs. The integrated plentymarkets stock management system keeps track of your stock in one, central location. It synchronizes stock changes with all of the markets and online stores that were connected. The sophisticated stock management system and centralized warehouse management system provide you with everything you need to manage your stock and keep your items available. The system will even prompt you when you need to reorder your products because you are low on stock. With its wide range of individual functions, plentymarkets makes e-commerce simple, convenient and efficient.
Not convinced? Give it a try. You can test-drive plentymarkets 30 days for free.
Looks interesting but the devil is always in the detail with multi-channel software so trialling is a must.
Not crystal clear from the markets section that it interfaces with Amazon UK and eBay UK directly but it has screens that indicate such a capability may exist.
The treatment of Amazon UK, MWS, Multichannel and FBA needs very careful examination in our experience.
It does appear to support Royal Mail & DPD so big ticks in the box for that.
Couldn’t see Shopify, BigCommerce or Magento listed anywhere which is an issue.
Even has a repricer but it looks to be Amazon DE only.
As ever some indication of pricing would be appreciated by many of us!
