Students to get cut price Amazon Prime

By Chris Dawson August 11, 2014 - 8:27 am

Amazon StudentAmazon have launched Amazon Student, offering Free One-Day Delivery for six months followed by half price Amazon Prime for four years or until you graduate.

With just a couple of months to go until the University terms start, if you’re a student it’s a great deal. You can get everything from books to bedding, from kitchen appliances to that all important bottle opener delivered for free and if it’s an essential item such as a case of ales or bottle of vodka for the party you’re about to organise you won’t have to carry it back from the supermarket, it’ll be delivered tomorrow for free.

When you upgrade from the free six months (if you don’t cancel your subscription having had six months for free), it’ll cost £39 per year instead of the normal £79. At this point you’ll get additional benefits including Prime Instant Video and Kindle Owners’ Lending Library added in for free.

If you’re a student you can sign up at amazon.co.uk/joinstudent. You’ll find it easier to sign up if you have a .ac.uk email address but can also join by providing proof of your student status.
