It’s interesting to see that Play are still stuck in the CD/DVD/Games end of the market, it’s going to take a lot of work for them to shrug it off.

The biggest problem is sellers trying to get things listed in their catalogue which last time I heard was still a semi-manual process 😮

Yup, it sure is! Mostly to do with adding NEW stuff in their catalogue.

We just added c. 1600 products into their catalogue and its wasn’t all that bad to be fair… once you’re registered as a seller on there, you can add your own products via bulk upload without any human intervention. Picked up 20 or so sales over the weekend – not groundbreaking by any stretch, but better than a kick in the teeth at the same time!

Good to hear it’s now automated 😀
I’m really hoping that 2014 will be the year that Rakuten do great things with now that they’ve had time to get all the building blocks in place 🙂

With eBay its pretty simple to get visibility for new products added to the catalogue, its possible with Amazon but for products which are new to its a bit of an unknown how to get visibility. Time for some testing I think!
