New eBay Now app launched stateside

A new improved eBay Now iPhone app has been launched in the US this week. eBay Now is a service introduced last autumn which allows purchases from major High Street stores to be delivered within the hour. The service has hitherto only been available in San Francisco and parts of New York.

The new app has been redesigned and also improved with better search and functionality.

eBay also announced plans to release an eBay Now Android app and to expand the delivery zones in the San Francisco Bay Area Peninsula, with Queens and Brooklyn in NYC coming soon. eBay Now allows users to shop from stores like Target, Macy’s, Best Buy and Office Depot.

So eBay obviously think this experiment is working and are investing more in it. It’s a good idea and we wonder how long it will be before the service comes to London.
