Domino’s Pizza start to accept PayPal for website orders

By Chris Dawson January 26, 2011 - 3:57 pm

Fast food outlets have never traditionally accepted PayPal, but that might all be about to change. News is out that Domino’s Pizza Israel have started to accept PayPal. Not only that but there’s a 6% discount if you pay with PayPal during the introductory period.

The Domino’s Pizza Isreal site carries a banner promoting that customers can pay with PayPal for website orders. Apparently many customers are starting an order online, but then choosing to place and pay for their pizza by telephone. The objective of accepting PayPal is to encourage more ordered to be completed on the Domino’s Pizza website.

According to Globes Online not only is the collaboration between Domino’s Pizza and PayPal in Israel the first venture of its kind in the world, but if it’s successful than it’s likely Domino’s will start accepting PayPal in Europe.

Can you open a dispute if the pizza is cold?

I’ve always thought this kind of thing is open to abuse, perhaps I always see the worst in people :D

They could order it and then pay for it a few weeks later like they do on eBay.

Surely its rather a long way for the little man on the moped to deliver to me in Cornwall. How do they manage to keep the Pizza dry as the cross the Med?

      Paypal does postage as well.

Surely by the time it finally got to Cornwall it would be cold?

I’d top myself before I used PayPal to buy a pizza….

Somehow I think Lidl or Aldi will be next to take Paypal, made for each other.

For me it would be far more important if I could buy my Cornish Pasties(The chosen Food of the Gods) with Paypal. Now that would really be useful
