Time for a break

By Chris Dawson March 3, 2009 - 4:41 pm

It’s been almost two and a half years since Chris and I started blogging and we’ve decided it’s time to take a much-needed rest. We’ll will be taking the rest of March off blogging to recharge our batteries and pursue some other projects.

eBay sellers know that taking a break can be difficult – it’s no easier for bloggers. But we’re fortunate enough to be able to leave TameBay in the capable hands of Dan Wilson.

For anyone who doesn’t already know Dan, he was the community manager at eBay UK until 2006, he’s the author of , and he’s been known to have a thing or two to say about eBay himself. Not to mention that setting up TameBay was his idea in the first place. We have every confidence that you’ll all have a great time. 🙂

Chris will be back at the end of March to report from ChannelAdvisor’s Catalyst event.

Enjoy your break – we’ll miss you!

OMIGOD I nearly panicked – I read the tweet and hotfooted it to here, worried that you were going to pack it all in completely.

Please don’t frighten me like that. A holiday I can cope with. And Dan is a bonus not a stand in, so that’s ok too.

Have a nice time, and don’t forget your towel.

I give it 4 days before you take a sneaky peek! Taking a break from anything online is rather difficult!

I can’t help but look after a few days, at my eBay, holiday – pah, lightweights

Enjoy – thanks for the last 2.5 years, has it really been that long!!!
    Suz xx

PS- Waves to Dan, who is very brave, !

Have a good rest Sue and Chris although by the sounds of this:
“and pursue some other projects” you won’t be getting that much rest.

Thanks for all your good work on here!!!!

Sigh, I had a good story for Chris to run.

    Enjoy the break.

    Enjoy yourself guys.

    #5 give it to Dan!

Does the contact TameBay link send it to him or would that just go to Chris and Sue instead? I don’t want to bother them if they are on a break.

    @ # 11

OK, I submitted it. Feel free to reject the idea if you think it has already been done to death in the comments on that other article.

    Chris, Sue,

#14 I have been seeing that for the last 2 weeks (ish), I kept on thinking it was some kind of browser glitch but I have been reading similar posts on the PS board and various eBay related blogs all claiming to see the same thing.

Dan, Whirly, here’s some other examples for you which I posted to a thread on the Powerseller board earlier tonight.

    Thanks Richard.

BTW: I’m not a Powerseller so I can’t see the PowerSeller board.

No worries Dan, that’s why I posted the links on here. No reply on the subject from any pinks on there yet, the place has gone down since you left 🙂

    Picture this;

Man & woman seen in a bar in San tropez, dark glasses (must be famous!!) Both with very large glasses of spirits, assume that what it is anyway as they are laughting alot.

Must be that famous pair off ‘tamebay’. Knew they would be enjoying those ‘benefits’ somewhere.

Have a good one guys (sue & chris)

“other projects” – is that finishing off your bathroom?

Seriously though I share the office with Chris, and he works night and day on Tamebay and his dedication to sharing information and improving the knowledge of ebay to the wider population is to be commended. His efforts and commitment is only surpassed by his dedication to his ebay buyers on his site.

Does this mean more time for pool? 😉
