Can you spot the fun?
And here, for your fun and delectation, is the tree. Lovely.

Norf: for my money, London’s finest station. Like a cathedral to technology.
(Yes, yes, Pancras is amazing from the outside… but Paddington trumps it, I think with scale).
I agree Dan
Paddington is the simply the finest station built,
oh bugger wheres me anorak
it must be contagious,
Pancras trumps Paddington if it’s allowed to include the Midland Hotel as well. Best three hours’ queuing I ever did, to get to look around that.
Oooh we had a tour round the Midland Hotel a few years ago as part of a ‘work’ outing (we had to sit through a talk on the work going on at St Pancras to turn it into the Eurotunnel terminus first though :P). It was great – there were only about 10 of us and we went right up to the very top floors 😀
And St Pancras wins on the booking hall too.
Lol Sue – I’ve just been looking through those very same pics 😀
The new St Pancras reminds me just a bit too much of an airport inside (and what is that coffee table they’ve stuck onto the end of it).
That said, the old St Pancras always felt a bit folorn, the cathedral like cavern with a couple of Hornby trains inside.
Now, before my time, I have heard amazing stories of the old Euston …
Fenlex, I have a picture of the old Euston somewhere… I think the book may be out of copyright so I can nick it…
Then, thought: just look it up online.
There are some images there, but no snaps… might dust off the sanner when I get back from the boozer.
As promised, I scanned the old Euston Station pics from an old book I have. Progress, ehh?
The Euston Arch:
Thanks for these!
Just found another rather super pic of the Paddington tree here:
