eBay users raise over £220,000 for Nepal
With the wall to wall press coverage of the election immediately following the birth of a new Princess, it’s easy to forget that it’s less than two weeks since the 7.8 magnitude earthquake in Nepal. Much help is still needed and you can still get involved through eBay for Charity.
Generous eBay sellers have already helped raise over £220,000 for the earthquake appeal and the eBay Foundation will be making an additional $50,000 grant to help those affected.
There are three main ways you can help without even leaving eBay. You can buy an item with a percentage of the profits donated by the seller to the disaster appeal, you can sell an item and donate a percentage of the selling price yourself. Alternatively you can make a simple donation either on the eBay for Charity Nepal page, or by adding a supporting charity to your favourites and donating £1 at checkout whenever you make a purchase on eBay.
