P4D Parcel Delivery raise funds for Post Pals

The guys at P4D Parcel Delivery Booking online have been busy raising thousands for charity with their “Round up your pound” campaign. They enable people booking online parcel deliveries to round up payment to the next pound, effectively say “keep the change”, and these funds go to their charities.

P4D have just kicked off their campaign for November and December and will be raising money for Post Pals, a small charity run solely by volunteers who are dedicated to making seriously ill children and their siblings smile by the sending of cards, letters, little gifts, support and friendship. The concept is simple… they feature children on their website with a forwarding address, their interests and stories, and invite members of the public from around the world to log on and send cheerful post.

Penguin Amnesty

All of the money P4D raise will be donated to Post Pals and some of the funds will be used to support a special project called the Penguin Amnesty, run by Mum and blogger, Kay Wilkinson. She has taken it upon herself to collect penguin items like toys, books, jewellery and clothes specifically for Post Pals children.

If you’d like to donate a penguin for the Penguin Amnesty – any item that is suitable for and enjoyable to children – they ask that you please make sure the penguins arrive at the Post Pals address below no later than 31 December 2012, the closing date for penguin donations.

Alice Pyne

Alice Pyne has raised thousands upon thousands of pounds for charity and has increased the bone marrow donor register by 40,000. This week she won a well-deserved Pride of Britain Award, presented by Robbie Williams.

Alice is featured on the Post Pals website, and Natalie from P4D tells me that “Alice’s story makes us especially proud to be fundraising for Post Pals for the next two months with our Round up Your Pound scheme”.

P4D Parcel Drop off service

Of course it’s not all fund raising at P4D, there’s a serious side to the business too. In order to make it easier for customers in the run up to Christmas they’ve announced a new ParcelForce drop off service. Rather than waiting in all day for a courier to collect, when you book Parcelforce collections through P4D you can drop your parcels off at the nearest Parcelforce depot at a time to suit you.

Customers can book instantly on the P4D website, simply enter the weight and dimensions of your parcel and select the drop off option in our quote results. Drop off by 7pm for a Next Working Day delivery and it’s not only more convenient, but cheaper too as it’s £1 cheaper than the collection service.
