London 2012 Paralympic Torch for sale on eBay
Rarer by far than the Olympic Relay Torches, there are only 600 Paralympic Torches for the London 2012 Games and so far there’s only one Paralympic Torch for sale on eBay.
The torches consist of an inner and an outer aluminium alloy skin held in place by a cast top and base. Unlike the gold finish of the Olympic Torches, the Paralympic Torches have a mirrored finish and are rather more attractive.
The seller, Charlie says “Simply one of the best days of my life and a great thank you to all involved. I’m Selling the torch as I’ve been needing a new wheelchair for far too long and this will help hugely. My memories and photos are what I will treasure“. I find that somewhat sad that our NHS (which featured so highly in the Olympic opening ceremony) can’t provide a new wheelchair for Charlie so I really hope his auction does well.
