New eBay International Selling Policy

eBay are asking all International sellers to agree to a new International Selling Policy when selling overseas. This is because selling policies vary between sites and they particularly draw attention to the fact that buyer protection policies vary between different country sites.

This shouldn’t be too much of a worry to UK sellers who sell within the EU as the UK already has some of the most stringent laws to protect consumers, however it might have a bigger effect on overseas sellers supplying to the UK.

You’ll be asked to agree to the new International Selling Policy next time you list on a site other than your eBay site of registration, or when you make your items available to another site by selecting International Shipping.

If anyone can get a link (or cut and paste the text) of the new policy it would be appreciated… I just listed an item with shipping to the US and wasn’t asked to agree to the new International Selling Policy so it might not be live just yet!).
