4th January 2011 Back-To-Work To Do List

  • Update antivirus, run windows updates and update software such as TurboLister – you’ve probably not switched on your work PC for a couple of weeks.

  • Change VAT rates on all items listed for sale across all platforms.
  • Increase prices to cover the increase in VAT.
  • Put into place a tracking procedure to account for VAT at 17.5% up until the 3rd January and 20% for the rest of the quarter.
  • Check unpaid items and your eBay and Amazon resolution centre for returns or other items that need actioning.
  • Be ruthless with your email inbox, delete everything that doesn’t need dealing with and respond only to urgent emails today.
  • Check won items and expired listings and relist where needed.
  • Send invoices for any recurring payments you’re owed or for any sold but unpaid items.
  • Stock check and replenish supplies from supplier.
  • And finally of course… catch up with the post holiday shipping

What do you mean, “back to work”? Some of us never left! And it was a very profitable holiday, too! :)

Change your bank account to one that offers free banking is a good idea, Natwest have just started to charge me £6 a month just to be a customer and thats without all the other charges, now that my two year free banking has run out.
