La Poste strike for Tuesday 23rd March

If you’re in France or have French customers, you need to know that tomorrow, Tuesday 23rd March 2010, La Poste workers are on strike. eBay France’s announcement has advice for buyers and sellers: basically, please be patient and allow extra time for delivery.

My own experience of La Poste one-day stoppages suggests that this won’t actually have much effect on delivery times overall: there just won’t be any post tomorrow. But it’s worth bearing in mind if you have time-sensitive deliveries to make.

The action is part of a one-day general strike across the public and private sector, protesting against the French government’s proposed pension reforms.
