eBay.eu eBay International Market goes live
13/03/2010 at 12:17
eBay International Market launched this week, and can now be accessed at www.eBay.eu. for buyers in Russia, Czech Republic, Greece, Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
The new site will display fixed price listings from sellers who offer shipping to the new eBay countries. The big advantage is that the site will be translated into the local language with prices displayed in the buyer’s local currency. The only parts of the site that won’t be translated is the item title and description. There will also be localised customer support for buyers in their own language.
If you see an increase from buyers in these countries it’ll probably be because they have their own eBay site for the first time.

VW – unfortunately the ‘sites searched’ default is Europe and that does NOT include UK!
If you set the search to ‘United Kingdom’ you should find your stuff.
eBay seems to have a duff socio economic atlas and whether anybody else will find your stuff remains to be seen.
There is lots either wrong, misleading or missing with/from the site, can at best be called beta+

Is that why I just had a sale from Slovenia? I didn’t even know where that is – had to look on the map. The invoice was also made out in that language.

You can’t sell on there can you? Seems you can only sell on your own site and EBay international may or may not find u…..
Sue Bailey says

Dee, no, you can’t. It’s not a listing site (like eBay.co.uk, .com, .fr etc.) – it’s basically a buying platform, so buyers from the six countries can access the site in their own language, and it will find them items listed on eBay worldwide from sellers who will ship to them. More info here:
