Gumtree host their 50,000,000th ad!

Gumtree 50mth adGumtree have just had the 50 millionth ad placed on their site. At 10.31 this morning “Dan” from Manchester placed an ad in “Manchester Work Wanted”. He’s got a van and is looking for warehouse work or driving so if you’re looking for some help in the run up to Christmas give Dan a call.

Gumtree carry ads for all sorts of weird and wonderful stuff and services, but it’s kind of fitting that their 50 millionth ad is more typical of the run of the mill ads that the site is famous for. Whether it’s someone looking for work, someone wanting to rent or let property, or simply items that you don’t need any more that you want to turn into some cash then Gumtree can help.

Best wishes to Dan in his search for work, and huge congratulations to Gumtree on there 50 millionth ad milestone.

(If anyone from eBay or PayPal’s Richmond offices are reading this then head over to Gumtree’s offices – their analyst Dave just won the office sweepstake for guessing the time the 50 millionth ad would be placed and I have it on good authority he’s about to crack open the bubbly!)

Well i have a very current comment to make about Gumtree. I am moving warehouse from Liverpool to Swindon next week, and I posted a advert on Gumtree Liverpool for some casual labour. I have 20 odd replies in 24 hrs. I though…I wonder if I can fill a job vacancy – I am looking for a photographer to take my business forward in 2010. Well blow me down…an advert on Swindon Gumtree (http://swindon.gumtree.com/swindon/33/49951433.html) has delivered a number of quality candidates. I would really recommend this medium. I really do believe people are looking at alternatives to the Government Job Centre website, and agencies.
