Hi Guys, (reply to Bebb)

I get asked the same question over and over again from buyers requesting discounts on shipping for combined invoices. I simply state in my policies that a percentage discount can be applied to those items combined that are not already marked with free shipping. How can you discount something thats free! Yes, you must incorporate the shipping fees into the sales price, but that is what eBay want sellers to do. Some buyers will always request discounts regardless. eBay attracts bargain seekers. For an idea, how about offering a discout on any future purchases from your own website, whilst offering free shipping on your eBay listings! And keep the re-curring customer for yourself.

That is the main problem with free shipping - not being able to discount combined shipping. :-(

I am sorry I missed it live, I've just listened into it. No one asked about the problem with free shipping and not being able to combine shipping. On heavy items such as I sell, to add shipping onto the price puts fees up greatly, and if someone wants to buy more than one, they pay the full shipping cost twice effectively.

At 26:20 the English-as-a-second-language lady seems to be saying that the title can be changed with no effect on Best match rank. Is this correct?

Hi Chris,

The webinar was fantastic and I actually put 2 questions to Tom Wagstaffe myself regarding ebay search impressions and conversions. It seems the higher the conversion rate the more points are awarded for best match search positioning (simillar to google adwords). It was great to actually put those guys over at eBay's head office on the hot seat for a change.
