Will ParcelForce be affected by Royal mail strikes?

We’re getting a fair few inquiries as to whether ParcelForce will be affected by the industrial action affecting Royal Mail.
The answer is thankfully “No”. Parcelforce are run as a separate company and any strike action won’t affect the ParcelForce service.

Chris, I’m reliably informed that Parcelforce uses the RM trunk drivers and so could well be affected. My informant did add that they intend to contract this work but I think they may be affected at times. Sadly.

I’m a little bit confused by the relationship between Royalmail and Parcelforce.
Why the parcels we send outside UK by RoyalMail Airmail could only be tracked on Parcelforce?
Could anyone update me the information? Thanks.

Parcelforce is part of the same group – it is simply the “courier” division of the RM. I fail to see how Parcelforce wouldn’t be affected by a strike by RM, sadly

Royal Mail and ParcelForce although part of the same group have different resources and are run as totally separate businesses.

It’s business as usual for all Parcelforce Worldwide services during the current Royal Mail industrial action, so you can continue to despatch your parcels with confidence.

I am a Xmas worker with Parcelforce. Great company – very friendly and striving to get that parcel delivered – even the ones with only the postcode on it! I really enjoy working for them
