I've looked in every place I've ever lived (admittedly, all big urban places) and there's been a Collect+ point within a mile every time, and usually somewhere I'd be going anyway. The paypony scanner did not want to scan the label I printed off. Collect+ need to do some more work before opening this service to the general public. I don't feel it's cost effective either bearing in mind both sender and recepient need to travel to a 'local' store.
